Madison County Amateur Radio Club meeting on Wednesday, October 14th, at 7 PM.

Union County Hams:

A great presentation is planned for the next Madison County Amateur Radio Club meeting on Wednesday, October 14th, at 7 PM.  Matt Yellen - K7DN, will be presenting "Digital Voice Communications".  Matt will be discussing D-Star, the new Yaesu System Fusion, and the commercial DMR systems that many hams are using.  Even if you have never heard of D-Star, or are a regular user of digital voice, you won't want to miss this informative presentation.

Matt has been instrumental in bringing Icom's D-Star system to the market. Matt has been licensed since 1993, at the age of 13.  In 2003, he was hired on at ICOM as the product development engineer for D-STAR, where he launched the product and installed the first public D-Star repeaters in Dallas, Texas.  Since then he has been involved with any digital communications systems he can get his hands on.

Mark your calendar now so you don't miss this great meeting.  As usual, the meeting is at the Madison County Engineer's Office, located on US-42, just south of the I-70 freeway.  The driveway is located between the Wendy's and McDonald's restaurants.  An informal gathering assembles at the Wendy's around 6 PM for dinner and camaraderie.

All members and guests are invited.
